Chinese phone manufacturer ZTE is trying to find its place in the American market, and it’s teaming up with T-Mobile to achieve that goal. The two companies recently announced they will be releasing a very large smartphone called the ZMax, and it will only be available through T-Mobile.
T-Mobile is developing a reputation for providing affordable phone plans for people who do not want to commit to a long-term contract. The ZMax falls in line with this strategy, with a price of only $250.
The phone features a 5.7 inch screen, which could classify it as a phablet. It’s actually bigger than the newly launched iPhone 6, but users won’t have to pay $700 for this phone.
The ZMax runs on a simplified version of the Android operating system, and claims to last up to two days without a charge. The phone has a high resolution screen, 16GB of storage and an expansion slot for an additional 32GB of storage. There is an 8MP rear camera on the phone, which is decent enough to capture photos but far behind the cameras in the latest Apple and Samsung phones.
If you are a T-Mobile customer and you want access to an inexpensive smartphone with a big screen, the ZTE ZMax could be a good option for you.
