T-Mobile Offers Free Netflix to Customers

T-Mobile announced it will now offer “Netflix on Us,” meaning customers can enjoy Netflix for free when they sign up for two or more lines on a T-Mobile ONE family plan.

“More and more fans are bingeing on mobile, so we’re bringing together Netflix’s award-winning TV shows and movies with T-Mobile’s award-winning, unlimited network,” said Reed Hastings, co-founder and CEO of Netflix.

This partnership was inspired because more consumers are streaming videos from their mobile devices. This year marks the first time Americans have spent more than 50% of their screen time on smartphones and digital devices instead of traditional TV, and mobile viewing is expected to more than double by 2020.

T-Mobile ONE customers can begin activating their Netflix subscriptions on September 12th either online, in-store or by calling T-Mobile. Eligible customers who already have Netflix subscriptions will receive a statement credit from T-Mobile.

To celebrate the deal with Netflix, T-Mobile is throwing a binge-watching giveaway marathon. Starting today, T-Mobile is hosting an all-day Netflix Meme-a-thon. Every hour, fans can answer questions from @TMobile Twitter with their favorite Netflix show quotes, GIFs and memes. There will be hourly prizes, including free smartphones, Netflix and T-Mobile swag.

To enter, users need to follow @TMobile on Twitter and post their favorite memes with #NetflixOnUs and #contest. The grand prize is an all-expense paid trip for 11 guests to the premier of ‘Stranger Things’ season two.

The T-Mobile ONE plan costs $40 per line for a family of four, and monthly taxes and fees are included.
