HTC to Release Selfie Smartphone and GoPro-Type Camera on October 8

Lovers On Travel Taking Smartphone Selfie Photo

HTC is expected to launch its new selfie-focused smartphone on October 8, as well as a GoPro-like camera capable of going underwater.

Not a lot is known about the Taiwanese company’s new smartphone, other than it has been optimized for the selfie generation. The camera is said to look like a tube that is rugged and waterproof like the GoPro camera.

HTC’s camera will feature a 16 MP ultra wide-angle lens that is ideal for athletes and adventurers who want to capture their actions on film. Rumors indicate the camera will also be compatible with apps for Android and iOS operating systems. Wi-Fi and Bluetooth features are expected to be on the camera to allow it to connect to smartphones.

Rumors swirl about HTC introducing a smartwatch. CNET recently reported the watch would be introduced in early 2015, but that has not been confirmed at this time.

If you are a fan of HTC devices, keep an eye out for new innovations to be released in the coming months.
